Make this easy, all single crochet chevron blanket in a day!
If you like one row repeat patterns, this chevron zig zag blanket pattern is for you!
I used Bernat Blanket super bulky 6 weight yarn in
Smoky Green: 2 skeins
Vintage White: less than 1 skein
Blush Pink: less than 1 skein
If you would prefer to make chevron blanket in a 5 weight yarn that is self striping, try this pattern:
Chain 88 with smoky green (for a 36” wide blanket) or multiples of 27 plus 7 more chains at the end to make the blanket as wide as you like, remembering that it will increase how much yarn you need.
Row 1:
Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook.
Sc in the next stitch.
Skip 1 stitch.
*Sc in the next 12 stitches.
3 sc in the next stitch (the increase to make the peak of the mountain)
Sc in the next 12 stitches.
Put your hook through the next stitch, pull the yarn through.
Skip the next stitch.
Put your yarn in the next stitch, pull the yarn through.
Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops. (That is the decrease, or valley of the mountain.)*
Repeat from * to * across.
When you have 3 stitches left, skip 1 stitch, sc in the last 2 stitches.
Chain 1, turn
Row 2-12
Sc in the first 2 stitches.
Skip 1 stitch.
*Sc in the next 12 stitches.
3 sc in the next stitch.
Sc in the next 12 stitches.
Put your hook through the next stitch, pull the yarn through, skip 1 stitch, put your hook through the next stitch, pull the yarn through, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.*
Repeat from * to * across.
When you have 3 stitches left, skip 1 stitch, sc in the last 2 stitches.
Ch 1, turn
In the last stitch of the 12th row, begin a sc, but don’t pull through the last 2 loops.
Drop the green, cut a tail for weaving in later and bring in the vintage white yarn by looping it over your hook and making a chain 1 with the tail and working yarn.
Drop the tail and weave it in later.

Row 13-16
Repeat row 2
At the end of row 16, before pulling the yarn through the last 2 loops of the sc, drop the vintage white yarn, cut a tail for weaving in later. Pick up the pink yarn and pull through the last 2 loops.
Make a chain 1 with the working yarn and the tail.
Drop the tail and weave it in later.
Row 17-22
Repeat row 2
Now repeat the pattern of 12 rows of green, 4 rows of vintage white and 6 rows of pink.
I made mine 52” long.
Thanks for looking!
