Row 1:
Hdc into the back bump of the 2nd chain from the hook and in every back bump across. At the end of the row, ch 1 and turn.
Row 2:
Slip stitch into the blo (back loop only) of the first stitch and in every blo across until the last stitch. Sl st into the full stitch on the last stitch. Keep your stitches on the loose side so you can easily find the back loop on your next row.
Row 3:
Hdc in the blo of each stitch across until the last stitch.
Hdc in the last stitch. Ch1, turn
Repeat rows 2 and 3until your pillow cover is about 42” long.
You’ll be making your button holes with the last row.
Hdc in the first 9 stitches, ch 1
Hdc in the next 9 stitches, ch 1
Hdc in the next 9 stitches, ch 1
Hdc in the last 9 stitches.
Fasten off. Weave in the end.
With the right sides facing each other, fold the pillow cover so the two ends meet in the middle. Overlap one by about an inch or two.
Sew the seams together with a simple whip stitch.
When you reach the top, fasten off, weave in the end and repeat for the other side.
Turn the pillow cover right side out. Use stitch markers or yarn scraps to mark where the button holes will meet the
buttons.
Sew the buttons on, leaving about 3” ends. Tie the ends 2 times and weave in the ends so they are secure.
Place the pillow form in the cover, button it up and that’s it!
