Posh Pink Pocket Scarf: Free Pattern and Video Tutorial!

Bernat sheepy in plush pink : 2 skeins

10mm crochet hook (here’s the set I use)

I wasn’t quite sure about this yarn when I first opened it. The first row was a little tricky, but once I mastered that, the rest was fast and easy! I love it. The yarn is so soft, like Sherpa. It is very easy to work with when you get used to it. Any imperfections are hidden in the soft fluffy loops.

Try it and I think you’ll be hooked, too!

Row 1:

13 Foundation half double crochet row (see video tutorial below)  This makes an 8” wide scarf.

Ch 1 turn.

Row 2:

Hdc in each stitch across, you have to feel for the stitch   (It will be “hole” between stitches) and you’ll need to make sure you count your stitches, 13 in each row.

Ch 1, turn.

Repeat Row 2 until your scarf reaches about 86”, more or less, depending on how long you like it.  I’m pretty tall and it’s great for me to put my hands in with the scarf flat or crossed over.  I did not wrap it around my neck, but it comes up like a collar around my neck.  It’s very warm and cushy

I pulled the ends up 8” for the pockets (make sure you have the pockets on the same side on each end) and sew the sides of the pockets with a simple whip stitch.

Flip the pockets right side out to hide any seams (though they disappear with this yarn) and you are finished!

Enjoy your plush pink pocket scarf!
